The Appeal
In standard form, a Lotus Elise is a fabulous thing. Company founder Colin Chapman never lived to see it, but we're confident he would have heartily approved of its close adherence to his "simplify and add lightness" philosophy. The 111S takes things a step further. You still get the beautifully simple Elise formula: no power steering or even power brakes. But you do get an upgraded engine, closer-ratio gearbox, and enhanced interior and exterior appointments.
Most notably, the 111S features a version of the same K-series engine with Variable Valve Control (VVC) technology, raising its output to 143 bhp for earlier Series 2 versions like this 2003 Elise we have here. Offered in very good overall condition and having covered just 51,125 miles from new, this lovely Lotus would make an excellent weekend toy for any driving enthusiast. It comes with MOT until September 2026.
