The Appeal
In 2004 BMW introduced the ultimate version of its original SUV, the E53. Equipped with the new N62 360bhp V8 engine, the 4.8iS properly put the sporting in SUV. Very expensive when new, these potent models are a rare find today.
This Titan Silver example has clearly been looked after by its handful of keepers and is pleasingly factory standard. The high specification includes a panoramic glass sunroof, full black leather and electric heated seats with memory function.
Throughout its life, it has clearly been well maintained. The work has been done by main dealers and most recently by a BMW technician. The vendor acquired it in 2021 and, alongside regular annual servicing, to November 2024, in 2025 alone, it has received new rocker cover gaskets and seals, a replacement coolant bottle, new door handle architecture and replacement a/c and drive belts. The MOT runs to November 2026. Two new rear tyres were fitted as part of the recent MOT test.
The vendor says:
“FSH from present ownership (4 years) plus most from previous owners. Factory standard engine. No known faults.
“V8 engine combined with air suspension provides a very smooth ride and handling.”
