Rare US-market FJ Cruiser, never officially sold in the UK

Imported and registered on UK plates since 2011
The Appeal
The later iterations of the Toyota FJ Cruiser are significantly more luxurious and comfortable than their predecessors (much to the relief of their owners!) and have swiftly become a much-loved modern cult classic. Never officially sold in the UK, these retro-styled 4x4s remain a rare sight on British roads and offer a distinctive, characterful alternative to more commonplace SUVs. Powered by Toyota's proven 4.0-litre V6 and equipped with a proper four-wheel-drive system, they remain utterly solid, capable machines.
This particular example was purchased brand new in the United States in 2007 and was garage-stored during its years stateside before being officially imported and registered on UK plates in 2011. It's undeniably a perfect family 4x4 as readily as it is a machine for adventure, with plenty of interior room and carrying capacity aided by the roof rack. The vendor also describes the four-wheel-drive system as fantastic in icy or snowy conditions.
The interior has rarely seen passengers to the rear and looks in good order, while the specification remains factory-standard aside from the legal modifications required for UK road use. Mechanically, the 4.0-litre V6 is reported to start, run, and idle smoothly, with the automatic transmission shifting correctly and the four-wheel-drive system functioning as intended.image.png1.38 MB
