The Appeal
Even amongst a model range that has consistently hit the ‘special’ spot, Ducati’s Monster S4RS stands out. It’s considered to be the last of the firm’s ‘old school’ superbikes, a ‘wolf in wolf’s clothing’ that features the Holy Trinity of Ducati gems - steel trellis frame, single-sided swing arm and loud dry clutch.
Built for just two years in small numbers, these are rare bikes. This red S4RS was first registered in 2008, so was one of the very last to leave the works before the all-new generation of Monsters arrived. In the intervening 18 years it has covered just 24,249 km and is, as a result, in very good order. There are some very minor signs of age to note in the photos, but otherwise it looks virtually showroom fresh.
We’re told that the bike remains factory standard and has always been looked after by Ducati main dealers. Before sale, it received a service including attention to the shocks, chain and fresh tyres. The technical inspection will be renewed before handover.
