The Appeal
Bentley built the Super Sports for the sort of deep-pocketed customers for whom enough was not quite, well, enough. For a premium of around 30% over the standard GTC, just 583 customers got a power hike to 621bhp, up from 550bhp, which could, should mood take one, translate into 60mph from standstill in 3.7 seconds and on to 204mph top speed.
The Super Sports, then, is the ultimate and amongst the rare first generation GTC. This 2010 example is likely one of the best available because it mixes a desirable ‘triple black’ colour scheme, replete with quilted leather and piano veneers, with a vanishingly low mileage of just 16,000 miles. As you might expect, it is in very good order.
The car has had just three keepers during its life and been maintained primarily by main dealers. The service book shows 12 stamps up to 15,500 miles. In recent years the car has largely been in storage, brought out only for MOTs. The current MOT supports the condition suggested by the photos and shows no advisories.
A very nice example of these rare, elevated super convertibles.
