The Appeal
Well, here it is, peak naturally aspirated, petrol-powered, mid-engined Ferrari. The 458 Italia is widely regarded as the last of Ferrari’s classic era. And, indisputably, the best. We don’t need flowing robes, a mysterious demeanour and a crystal ball to predict that good, well-cared-for examples are nailed-on future classics.
Here, as if by magic, is exactly that. Eschewing more common Rosso Corsa for a subtle Bianco Avus mixed with silver-stitched black leather, this low-mileage 458 is a well-kept and enthusiast-owned car. The current keeper has owned it since 2020 and has taken care to garage it properly and avoid wet weather, using it only on sunny days. He rates it highly.
The mileage is just 30,050 miles, which is supported by MOT records. The car was last serviced in late 2024 at 29,785 miles by Stratstone Ferrari. The MOT runs to May 2026 with no advisories.
The vendor says:
“Drives like a dream and it was a dream come true when purchased and not looking forward to parting with it. Holds the road well feels centred and when you push the accelerator you can feel the car just wants to fly. I would say I love the look of the car the most as it ages so well and is one of my favourite Ferrari models.”

The 458 may be the greatest mid-engined Ferraris of the modern era, but its gorgeous Pininfarina shape still responds well to certain colours. This car’s Bianco Avus is one of them, lending the car an understated, tasteful air. The finish is accented by neat detailing like the black 20in five spoke factory alloys, yellow callipers and carbon fibre ‘Cavallino Rampant’ wing shields.
Inside there is a black leather interior with silver stitching, the hide covering doors, seats and dashboard. It is in good order. There is an area of wear to the driver’s bolster, not unsurprising for a car of this age, that would likely respond to some professional localised attention. Otherwise, it is a well-kept and typically evocative cabin.
The Mechanics
- F136 570bhp 4,497cc V8 naturally aspirated engine

- Recent main dealer service in late 2024, with very few miles since
- Very well maintained and only by Ferrari main dealers as above
- Vendor reports thar car has no engine problems or recommendations reported
- New battery fitted recently and maintained on trickle charge
- Vodafone tracker fitted (may require subscription renewed by buyer)
- No advisories on MOT
Step around the back of this 458, and the clear engine cover hints at the drama that awaits when you jump behind the wheel. The classic crackle-finish cam covers are in good order, topping one of the greatest V8 engines of the modern era - the F136. The 458 gets it in 4.5L displacement, which makes it good for 570bhp. Power is delivered via Getrag’s lightning-quick 7spd dual clutch semi-automatic gearbox.
The vendor tells us that the car has been used sparingly and stored correctly during his tenure. The service book shows a run of regular servicing by main dealers throughout., as detailed above. We are also told that it has no issues, and the last service by Ferrari in November 2024 contained no advisories or recommendations. The same is true of the MOT, which runs to May 2026.
