The Appeal
The X152 F-Type coupe followed one year after the convertible, and it clearly had one objective - to knock the reigning 911 of its long-established perch. E-Type-esque profile, Rear Wheel Drive entertainment and a grunty supercharged 5L V8 542bhp mill beneath the sculptural bonnet all took the fight firmly to Porsche’s front door.
First registered in October 2013, this F-Type R is a very early car that predates the ‘official’ arrival of the car in early 2014. With just 33,806 miles on the odometer, its smart Italian Racing Red paintwork, five-spoke alloys, and two-tone red and black interior are all in very good order. A quick check of the online service history supports the mileage and shows a recent service in July 2025 at 32,400 miles.
With Jaguar heading in an all-electric direction, this car is the first of the last of a certain type of big-engined Coventry Cat. The MOT runs to April 2027 with no advisories, so it is ready to enjoy.
