It may not look like a technological marvel, but the Citroën 2CV left a profound mark on automotive history from its launch. It's hardly surprising, then, that it became one of the most iconic and popular cars in history, with over four decades of production and a single generation that evolved significantly over the years.
 
With its 425cc air-cooled engine, suicide doors, manual starting mechanism, and four-speed gearbox, the AZ offers a particularly straightforward and authentic driving experience, far removed from anything modern automobiles offer today. Enthusiasts continue to find it possesses an evocative and irresistible charm.
 
This particular example has remained in the same family since the 1960s, after originally being purchased from a doctor at a time when automobiles were still relatively rare and difficult to obtain.
 
The car was comprehensively restored approximately ten years ago, with photographic documentation covering the various stages of the work. It presents in a rare beige finish and benefits from a period-correct domed trunk, fitted to increase load capacity.
