This is a 1978 R100RS, that I sold to its last owner around 7 years ago. Really smart machine, that had a light restoration by another good customer of mine a few years prior to that, with little use in the interim.
The bike is a “full fat”, matching numbers, early R100RS, with 40mm carbs, twin discs, etc. On its return to me this time, I’ve removed the RS full fairing (comes with the bike) and replaced it with an S spec nose fairing, complete with genuine, factory, clock and voltmeter. I also took the opportunity to replace the pushrod seals, and have fitted a new battery.
Some nice touches, such as braided lines, period Krauser panniers, re worked seat, stainless exhaust system, etc.
Viewings and inspections welcome and encouraged, here at JTR Classic BMW, Washington, North East England. Flexible viewing days / times, but by appointment please. YOUR Airhead Boxer always considered in part exchange, and Airheads always wanted for outright purchase.
