Launched in the mid-1990s, BMW introduced the BMW Z3.
Success came immediately, its appearance in the James Bond film series (in the Goldeneye film) certainly had something to do with it.
Approximately 300, 000 BMW Z3 coupes and roadsters were produced (in the USA, the first BMW model to be manufactured there) in various engine configurations: 1. 8L, 1. 9L, 2. 0L, 2. 2L, 2. 3L, 2. 5L (American market), 2. 8L, 3. 0L and finally, in 3. 2L, the famous M versions from 1996 (and 1997 for the coupe versions).
NYC's/ OXOTO is offering here a magnificent 100% original example in black (Cosmosschwarz) with black leather interior totalling less than 81, 500 kms.
Delivered new in April 1999 in central Germany (Kassel), it became Belgian in January 2026 when it was sold by a Belgian professional to a collector. The latter, being rather a fan of Italian cars, decided to resell it. He is a regular customer of NYC's, and we know he is meticulous with his purchases.
As for the bodywork, it is truly immaculate. Although it is black (a colour sometimes difficult to maintain in pristine condition), it presents beautifully. Better still, apart from the bonnet, it is in original paint everywhere! We note a very small impact on the left front wing and a very fine scratch on the left rear wing (see photos on our website) but it is really very very minor.
A good polish can be carried out for delivery to further enhance this superb BMW Z3!
The soft top is in very good condition, we note very fine wear on the right side, but this does not require repair, it is normal given the material (fabric) and its age. It is worth noting that we have a small protective cover for the rear window (rare and difficult to find).
We also have the soft top cover, which perfectly finishes off the car when it is converted to a roadster.
The interior is also in very good condition, absolutely nothing to fault on a 27-year-old car, whether it's the seats, dashboard, centre console, interior of the soft top, etc... really nothing to address cosmetically, not a single warning light (a known defect on the Z3) comes on and the seats do not move under hard acceleration or braking.
Finally, regarding the mechanics, a full service was carried out upon delivery in January (80, 201 kms), see the level shown by the on-board computer. We also have the service book and its stamps.
Additionally, 4 new tyres have been fitted.
The last MOT report therefore dates from January 2026 (80, 201 kms) and mentions no technical remarks on this superb BMW Z3.
We also have the German MOT reports which confirm not only its low mileage but also that this example has always been very well maintained.
After a road test of over 200 kms to reach our premises, we can only confirm that it drives really superbly. Not the slightest fault, a real pleasure to drive! You can feel it is not worn at all, which makes sense given its mileage...
We have a recent inspection report which confirms the excellent condition of this BMW Z3.
We also have the 4 original keys, the user manual and its booklet, a COC for possible export, BMW Z3 presentation catalogues and finally a very nice protective cover (quality cover).
This 2. 8L BMW Z3, in addition to having a very attractive colour combination, excellent condition and low mileage for its age, is also very well equipped with accessories, documentation, etc...
