Metallic silver exterior and attractive 17-inch alloy wheels
MOT valid until end 26 February 2027
The Appeal
The BMW Z3 is a two-seater compact sports car in the traditional mould, with a long bonnet, short rear overhang, rear-wheel drive and convertible roof offering driving fun and engagement in all conditions. This is a low-mileage example of the later version, powered by the smooth 2.2-litre straight-six petrol engine, and with chrome-ringed headlights, L-shaped rear lights and redesigned centre console enhancing its appeal.
This model features metallic silver bodywork, which is described as being in very good condition overall, with small paintwork blemishes commensurate with the car’s age. The underneath of the car has been coated with a protective anti-rust spray. The electrically operated black fabric roof is described as being in good condition, with a clear screen.
The 17-inch lattice-style factory-fit alloy wheels present very well, with the seller stating that one of them has a slight scuff. The seller also states that wheel spacers have been fitted to move the wheels outwards to fill the arches more fully, noting that these are easy to remove if desired and that the car has covered only a “few hundred miles” with them in place. A mixture of Goodyear and other tyres are fitted, and described as having a good amount of tread, with sidewalls in good condition. Inside, the unusual black and blue leather interior is largely original, with the blue door, gear lever and handbrake accents all present. The electric seats are heated, enhancing comfort on colder days.
It also features an M Sport gear knob and the original Business stereo with upgraded Harman/Kardon subwoofer between the seats, and comes with an aftermarket wind deflector. The black carpets with protective fitted mats show little signs of wear, and the light grey boot carpet is free of obvious stains.
Recent work includes two new tyres, coolant and brake fluid changes and a full service in February 2026, as well as the fixing of a purge control valve fault and slipping driver’s window by a specialist garage. Prior to that the water pump, rear discs and a front wishbone were replaced.
The seller describes the car as ‘delightful to drive, with very smooth power delivery’. It is now ready for a new keeper to enjoy its charms.
Note that the private plate currently on the car is not included in the sale. image.png1.06 MB
