Description
Citroën Traction Avant 11 AL Cabriolet – 1936 – Chassis no. 383640
With real emotion, we are offering for sale this genuine Traction Avant Cabriolet, following the passing of my father, who was its fifth owner since purchasing it at the Barbizon auction on 9 November 1980.
For more than 45 years, this motorcar has always received regular, meticulous servicing. It has appeared at numerous international classic-car gatherings and rallies, in particular:
Alpes Rétro
Paris – Biarritz
as well as several other classic car events.
The car is presented in an elegant Bordeaux livery with black wings, in keeping with its period restoration. The bodywork is particularly solid. It shows only a few minor cosmetic imperfections related to its age, without calling into question the overall quality of the car.
Mechanical condition
The vehicle is in good working order and has recently benefited from several maintenance works:
• replacement of brake master cylinder;
• braking circuit overhauled;
• engine oil change;
• full lubrication;
• new battery.
The engine runs perfectly and the car is ready to hit the road for new outings.
