The Appeal

The Chevrolet Biscayne two-door sedan is an increasingly sought-after foundation for a pro-touring build. Its clean, understated body lines offer a subtler canvas than the more commonly modified Impala or Bel Air, and when built to this level of specification, the result is a machine that blends classic American presence with modern performance and handling.

This example has been rebuilt as a high-specification restomod. Power comes from a GM Crate 5.7-litre V8 estimated at around 400 HP, fed through a Holley carburettor and breathing via aluminium AFR cylinder heads and Hedman HTC-coated exhaust manifolds. The drivetrain is completed by a TH700 4L60 four-speed automatic with overdrive, a custom driveshaft, and a brand new Currie Ford 9-inch rear axle with a 3.70:1 ratio. The chassis has received considerable attention too, with a brand new RideTech computer-controlled air suspension system featuring Strongarms, Shockwave components, twin compressors, and an aluminium air reservoir. Baer disc brakes with Hydro-Boost assistance are fitted at all four corners, and steering has been upgraded with a Global-West system and power assistance.

The exterior is finished in white, sitting on staggered US Mags 10-spoke chrome alloy wheels wrapped in Falken tyres. Inside, the new brown leather interior is paired with a black floor and headliner, a green dashboard, and chrome trim. This is a well-specified build that should appeal to anyone seeking a classic American two-door with modern capability beneath its period skin.
