The Appeal

The Citroën DS 23 Pallas sits at the very top of the DS range, pairing the model's legendary hydropneumatic suspension and space-age styling with the refined appointments of the Pallas specification. Right-hand drive examples are particularly scarce, and this 1973 car, equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox, is a noteworthy find for any DS enthusiast.

Originally from South Africa, this DS 23 Pallas was imported to the UK in 2016 and is believed to have been owned by the chairman of the Citroën Owners Club. The vendor reports that the body retains its original panels with only minor corrosion on the door bottoms, and notes that the chassis was wire-brushed and waxoyled with no welding required, a benefit of its dry-climate origins.

A thorough recommissioning was carried out by Andrew Brodie Engineering in July 2024, with further work completed by Salters Garage in June 2025. Finished in white over a red vinyl interior, this DS 23 Pallas presents an appealing opportunity to acquire one of the most celebrated shapes in automotive history in rare right-hand drive form.
