The Appeal

One of the most iconic classics of all time, the R107 is cherished for its build quality, timeless trims and impressive levels of performance. Practically built for the increasingly glamorous coastal market, these are roadsters built for tree-lined avenues and sunlit streets where a life of leisure simply made sense. Of course, it was equally fitting for the executive who simply knew how to look sharp in a sharp car.

The R107 enjoyed an impressive 18-year production run, and the 380SL variant, carrying a 3.8-liter V8, offers an ideal balance of performance and refinement for relaxed grand touring.

A family-owned car from new, with the first owner being the current seller's grandfather, it has enjoyed the kind of careful stewardship that is increasingly difficult to find. Originally delivered in Germany and later imported to the Netherlands in 1999, this impressive tourer has never been restored, retaining a high degree of originality from top to bottom.
