The Appeal
Audi’s original R8 gave supercar buyers a reliable, usable and hugely capable option that wasn’t 911-shaped. Closely related to the Lamborghini Gallardo, these early cars are garnering the interest of enthusiasts.
This smartly specified grey metallic 4.2L TFSI coupe is a low mileage car that has been well maintained and always by Audi throughout its life. The last service was in June 2025. Further maintenance work includes oil return pipes, a common check on these cars, and mag ride damper and a wheel bearing.
The car is in very good condition with few indications of wear to the paintwork and interior. The current MOT runs to May 2026 with no advisories.
The vendor says:
“It’s surprisingly easy to drive day to day, with excellent visibility, comfortable seating, and solid Audi build quality, but the moment you open it up, it completely transforms. The naturally aspirated V8 loves to rev, delivering a sharp, linear powerband and an incredible sound that gets better the higher you push it. The steering is precise and confidence inspiring, the balance through corners feels planted thanks to the Quattro system, and it gives you a real sense of connection to the road that many modern cars have lost. It feels mechanical, engaging, and rewarding without ever being intimidating. What I love most is how it combines drama and usability. It looks exotic, sounds fantastic, and still feels like something you could comfortably drive every day. It’s a proper driver’s car that makes every journey feel like an occasion.”
