The Appeal
The Model A was a massive hit, and the Ford Motor Company learned a valuable lesson about not resting on its laurels. Henry Ford now accepted that regular new models were the way to go, and they really came into their own. The new Model B brought the company into the trendy thirties zeitgeist, while the Model 18 also boasted a new flathead V8 powerplant, bringing a new level of performance for the increasingly demanding motorist.
Imported to the UK by the current owner in 2014, the car has since undergone a professional off-chassis restoration spanning several years. The scope of work has been extensive, covering bodywork, interior, mechanical systems and ancillaries, with further details listed below. The body is entirely steel, with no fibreglass panels - a notable point for a car of this vintage.
The vendor says the flathead V8 starts, runs, and idles smoothly, and has proven reliable during their ownership.image.png1.76 MB
