Extensive mechanical overhaul carried out during current ownership
Strip-down and respray undertaken
MOT valid until November 2026
The Appeal
The MX-5 was known as the Eunos in Japan; and just as over here, it had a monumental impact. The obsession with what had been the Great British sports car was still alive and well, and with its lightweight, compact chassis and 'friendly' styling, the Eunos felt like a bit of a rebirth, if not a direct continuation of the formula.
This example was imported from Japan and is now fully registered on UK plates. During the current owner's six-year stewardship, the car has benefited from a thorough mechanical overhaul and a full strip-down and respray. The vendor proudly reports that the car drives very well and presents smartly, though prospective buyers should note that the hard top requires some repair and the soft top will need replacing. b63972bd-5902-42a2-9ce4-04b2b767dc87.jpg657.56 KB

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
