1970 Triumph TR6

Highlights

  • Older body, chassis and engine restoration in BRG
  • Less than 2,000 miles since work completed
  • Current keeper since 1989
  • Only four registered keepers
  • Long MOT to April 2025 with no advisories
  • Very well kept presented 150bhp PI car

The Appeal

Quick, grunty and built to be driven, the TR6’s appeal is clear. It is no surprise that the current keeper of this one has held onto it for 35 years. In its 54 years there have been only three others.
This is a very good example of one of Britain’s best two seater sports cars. It was restored between 2007 and 2013 across virtually every area of the car including bodywork, paintwork, engine rebuild and a full chassis refurbishment. Refinished in classic BRG, it has covered just 2,000 miles since then.
The thick history file attests to the enthusiasm and care of its keeper, a point underlined by the long, advisory-free MOT to April 2025. A test is no longer a legal requirement, but adds reassurance for the buyer.
Sitting on pretty Minator alloys and with an upgraded walnut veneer dashboard, this factory-standard 2.5L 150bhp ‘PI’ is a very tempting example of a brilliant classic sports car.
