The Appeal
The Interceptor was a great car name and an even more emotive design. Sleek Italianate styling clothed a solid and proven Jensen chassis, transatlantic running gear and some very British craftsmanship.
The Series III from late 1971 was born out of Chrysler’s decision to stop supplying the smaller 383CI engine. The new car got the firm’s low compression V8, with a gargantuan 440CI and 7.2 litres. There were also some light cosmetic revisions including stylish GKN alloys.
Here we have a 133-prefix Series III which means that it is one of the 368 G & H Series LHD cars built from November 1971. Just 179 white Series III cars left the factory, although we cannot guarantee the present colour is original.
It is a complete and presentable car with a complementary black vinyl roof and leather interior. UK registration will be arranged before collection. It is sold as a light restoration project, mainly requiring recommissioning prior to road use.
