WOW! Maybe most classic car lovers will know how difficult it is to find a Dolomite Sprint in any sort of condition these days - and just how hugely expensive they are at the top end of the market!
Well, here is a garage find, stored for maybe ten years or so. And it's actually not as bad as it may first look from the photos. She looks a touch tired and ragged down her offside with both door bottoms losing their metal and one small area on the wheel arch needing repair. Paint has come away on the rear wing as you can see.
However, the nearside of this Sprint is pretty damned good as is the underneath where you can still see body colour beneath the rustproofing. Floor pans are excellent as are the inner wings and bulkhead. Boot floor is also good. Clearly, there is no disputing the fact that she needs a degree of restoration and thus I am selling her as a project. But, I repeat, she is nowhere near as bad as you might be imagining. She has a great interior too with no obvious damage. Mileage reads 74, 000. She is fresh into stock and we tried starting her today. She fired pretty much right away and now idles well enough despite a manifold blow!
This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a Dolly Sprint (top examples are comfortably nearer 20k than the 10k mark!) for really sensible money.
