The CB750 was developed and pitched against the Triumphs and Harley Davidsons of the era, and Honda knew that having a racing legacy for a new machine would help them with sales of their road-going machine. The CB750 was developed with all the knowledge they gained from the TT and their 1970 Daytona win.
The classic CB750 has had a recent resurgence due to being such a perfectly well balanced and good looking machine. The CB750 carved a name for itself by just being so good in pretty much everything you throw at it without it ever feeling like it’s limit is being stretched. You can cruise at 70mph all day in comfort, or add a pillion for two-up touring. The bike is a great for someone who has only ridden modern bikes, and is looking for a great gateway classic. The CB750 just works. It’s got an un-threatening and smooth inline-4, thats revs cleanly and predictably to 8000rpm, and great usable spread of power from 5000rpm. This motor needs minimal fuss, and regular oil changes keep it in great shape for years. Modern brake pads have rejuvenated the old discs brakes and they now have plenty of stopping power. The CB750 always felt modern to drive, but it looks like a classic. And that’s the reason for the recent resurgence and loads of cafe projects.
You got nice modern luxuries on the CB750, with a gear indicator, electric start, kill switch, flashing turn signals, the overall smoothness and vibration free riding.
The example we have here is a really lovely bike, with some signs of its age but it is in really lovely and clean condition. It has all the right retro styling features in clean condition. With a beautiful classic look Honda red with black detailing. Big chrome throughout frames this motorcycle nicely, and retro detailing like the big chrome fenders and chrome ringed headlight give this bike a vintage look.
