Beautifully presented in Zinnobar red with a contrasting grey leather interior, this true icon of the eighties could only be enhanced by her driver being adorned with a striped shirt, red braces and a Nokia ‘brick’ ‘phone held to their ear. This ultimate driving machine was bought by a very well-to-do gentleman by the name of Mr Crossley and spent its’ cosseted life in one of the most affluent parts of Guernsey, only being gently exercised at no more that 40mph (their speed limit) over 30 years and only 70, 000 miles. She was supplied to Mr Crossley by Jackson’s, the only main BMW dealer on Guernsey who also took care of servicing in her formative years. There are fourteen main dealer and BMW specialist stamps in her service portfolio, mapping out her well cared for Island life. In 2017, she came over to the mainland whereby her current registered keeper, Mr Farrington took custody. Today, she is presented in excellent condition, her legendary straight-six engine purrs and her drivetrain feels smooth and young. After a period of storage, some light recommissioning included a new full exhaust system, clutch slave cylinder, brake discs and pads all round, all new flexible brake hoses and a full service. She is a delight to drive and is incredibly ‘cool’, with her original sports steering wheel, sports seats and fully operational overhead information centre. Mark my words, these E30’s are set to rise exponentially in value!
