Lotus twin-cam Big Valve engine
This car was purchased from the man who was Lynx engines in Paignton, Devon. (he has now retired).
It is a very quick car.
He completely stripped the car and rebuilt it to exacting mechanical standards.
The engine has been rebuilt, is powerful and has lots of low down torque.
The gearbox and differential were also rebuilt.

Brand new soft-top which has never been fitted…needs fitting…I have never used it.

I have a also fitted a digital speedometer that works off the GPS system…it can be removed easily
2 auxiliary sockets for charging mobile phones and using satnav
Wing mirrors attached to the sidescreens…. Formula type from Merlin Motorsport
It has a non-standard steering wheel…but the original will be supplied with the car
It starts and runs beautifully.
The body is in need of some tlc…. there is plenty of crazing, and the paintwork is not the best, but it polishes up to look good from a short distance away.
Also included in the sale, is:
1/.... a spare bonnet, which needs considerable work, but as these are very rare second-hand, it will be a worthwhile project to restore.
2/…. a hard-top and mould. These are for a wide-cockpit S4….. I was told that these were made for a New Zealand Lotus 7.
It would be quite easy for someone who is a capable fibreglass repairer to make the hardtop narrower to fit.
There are no fittings with this hardtop.
