"Produced between 1975 and 1985, the 604 were the top of Peugeot's line in that period. Designed by Pininfarina, they were presented at the 1975 Geneva Show. With a smooth and precise behaviour, a huge and comfortable interior space and a design that at the time was highly praised, the 604 were, however, a commercial failure, mainly due to their excessive price, in a time marked by the world energy crisis. Nowadays, they are rare and most of the existing ones, are in the hands of private collectors"
