This rather nice and rare Genuine Station Wagon was registered on 1st August 1982 in Kent as BKJ 538Y.
It will be tax and MOT exempt in three years time.
Up to date V5 registration document present.
Chassis no SALLBABH1AA171239 makes it a Home Market RHD 88" Station Wagon.
Mileage is showing as 27000 but I do not have enough history to verify, but in 2001 it had done 22, 000 miles so it may be correct.
Last MOTd in 2011 and stored since then.
Starts on the key and the original 5 bearing engine sounds good, abeit noisy due to a blowing exhaust.
Will need all the brakes going through although it does have a pedal and all the clutch cylinders will need replacing as the clutch goes to the floor.
Will move under its own steam for loading.
Overdrive fitted.
Full roof rack fitted with ladder at rear.
Bodywork is very straight and mostly original paint except for the passenger front wing and bonnet which were replaced some years ago. ( I have the original bonnet which is bent but could be repaired)
Chassis has had welding over the years and will need some more, but not too bad.
Bulkhead is sound up top and the passenger footwell is repaired and good. Drivers will need a patch of welding.
Interior is all there apart from door cards which are easy to get.
Headlining good just needs cleaning.
Not many Station Wagons were sold due to the much higher price. Most advertised are not the real deal and are Hard tops with with windows and seats retro fitted!
This will make a great Land Rover for kids/ dogs/ logging etc!
