1954 MGTF 1500
We are pleased to offer on behalf of the cars current owner a painstakingly fully restored example of the quintessential MG sports car. The restoration works have just recently been completed and this outstanding motor car is available to view at our North Yorkshire showroom by prior arrangement.
The details supplied by its owner and restorer are as follows:
The car has been kept to original specification the body work is in excellent condition, the paintwork is faultless. The car pulls very well for its age and the steering is first class, the compression is just over 180psi on all four cylinders. Much work has been carried out on the car with too many small parts replaced to list, as well as the above catalogue of works. Approximately 3400 MGTF 1500 cars were built 1950s, 1500 being more desirable because of its styling and more powerful engine.

New tyres and tubes.
The braking system has been completely renewed with new pipe work wheel cylinders etc, brake shoes have been relined.
The chassis has been striped and repainted.
New clutch has been fitted.
Radiator has been re cored.
New fuel pump fitted.
New front and rear bumpers
Various lights, lenses, switches have been renewed and car rewired.
New hood and side screens.
New carpets and the interior has been re trimmed.
The seats have been rebuilt and recovered.
New door locks and strike plates have been fitted.
New battery.
Wiper motor has been replaced.
Ammeter has been repaired and serviced.
Extensive work has been carried out on the carburettors, fuel and ignition systems.
