This is a genuine Morris Minor convertible with the correct MAT chassis number.
Restored by Charles Ware's Morris Minor Centre, Bath in 2005 with their "5 star" package, which included all necessary structural work with a 3 year garantee, a new hood, disk brakes and a servo for improved braking, front and rear inertia reel seat belts, alternator conversion, unleaded fuel device and a CD/ radio hidden in the glove box, the bill for this work amounted to £6700.
The car is still in excellent structural condition, as can be seen in the pictures. The paintwork, although generally smart, has had one or two touch ups and has odd faults here, which is understandable in the intervening 13 years of use. The door bottoms, front wings and boot lid are all very good.
The interior again is a little worn and has the earlier leather seats (which are rather more comfortable than the vinyl ones), it is still very presentable and a nice place to be.
The dark blue hood is good and is easy and quick to put up and down.
We have just given the car a full service and it is running and driving well, humming along at a good pace that keeps up with the traffic, the servo assisted disk brakes are excellent and really inspire confidence.
There is a good history file with the car detailing recent radiator and hoses, fuel pump (last year), a fully reconditioned engine (2013], as well as regular servicing and rust protection.
Although now mot and tax exempt, the car will be sold with a new mot for the new owners peace of mind.
The car represents a very sound, useable, proper example of this popular, fun car at a very reasonable price.
