Description

This car is a great example of a 43 year old car, bodywork is very glossy finished in black. As a 43 year old car it is exempt from tax & MOT. The last MOT done ran out in September 2018 and no longer needs one under new rules, so just insure it and drive it away. I have used the car all summer without a problem. It could easily be used as your every day car or do as I have done and just drive it on those sunny afternoons throughout the year.

This car is very solid with very minimal areas of surface rust. It runs and drives well, sounds fantastic with the true Triumph 'throaty' roar as you change through the gears.

My plan was to have a complete respray next winter, however, we are moving house and downgrading, the new house does not have storage room so reluctantly I am having to sell my prde and joy.

Mechanics
The car runs and drives extremely well. No issues with the gearbox, drive chain or steering. It starts first time every time. I have recently fitted new HT leads and spark plugs. Tyres are in good condition.

Bodywork
A very solid car, the odd blemish here and there but nothing serious. Chrome work whilst not conquers is acceptable and cleans up really well. I have polished the car and used finishing wax. Floor pans, chassis etc in good condition. Vehicle has been repainted previously and some small areas show previous colour.

Interior
Good condition throughout, seats and carpets in good condition, all the dials work as they should do. I have fitted a period style radio cassette, but added the benefit of a CD multi-player hidden away in the boot.

Roof
The car has a fully fitted soft top.
I also have a hard top, however this has been stripped ready for new paint, but is included in the sale.

Tonneau covers
There are both full and half tonneau covers included both in brilliant condition

Paperwork
I have a file containing various pieces of information on this car including invoices for new parts fitted, Old MOT's, Triumph Sports Six Club valuation @ £3000 (2011), and some handwritten service history records

All in all this is fantastic example of a Triumph Spitfire and gives hours of pleasure, great car to drive a real head turner and I am extremely sad to see her go. Viewing & test drive highly recommended.

Payment in cash on collection or bank transfer. Come and take her out for a drive, you will not be disappointed.
