1936 Riley 12/ 4 Merlin Saloon
Introduced late 1935 with an all steel body, of similar shape to the Falcon - the Merlin was to be targeted at the family motorist seeking a quality mid-sized car. The 9hp version was intended to replace the long standing Monaco being priced at £269. A 12/ 4 Model was also listed and both models were to prove very popular.
This example, finished in BRG and Black with beige interior trim is the more powerful and sought after 12/ 4 model.
Presented in extremely smart condition throughout having recently undergone a high quality repaint, the car is on the button and ready to enjoy.
An excellent and practical pre-war Riley Saloon, it is offered with the original drivers handbookand a number of previous MOT certificates. This car was originally exported to Australia and returned to the UK in 1999.
