Description
I’ve half-heartedly decided to let my Taimar go. The car is original 34k miles and has been stored in a heated garage since the early 80s. It’s a time-warp car, sit inside and you are transported back to 1979. The colour is Porsche gulf orange with black interior. History suggests the first owners were Levi Strauss of Kensington London. It’s had three more since including me. I have had the car 2 years now.
The car's paintwork is in show condition with no blisters, bubbles or fading anywhere. The model band is painted on and lacquered over. The interior is all original with the black vinyl and black cloth seats still in good condition. It has the original radio cassette (still working) The chassis is good and has been Ziebart treated from new - I was told this by the previous owner. The car has an aluminium fuel tank and electric fuel pump and electronic ignition, the rest is standard. The spare wheel is the original one with the original GoodYear tyre. Even the rear number plate still has the original Chequerd flag suppling dealers stamp.
Since I have owned the car I have replaced all the road tyres as well as upgrading all of the shock absorbers to AVO fully adjustable ones. I have also replaced all of the hoses, battery, steering bushes, track rod ends and have had some wiring replaced and uprated coil fitted by Sileck Motorsport.
Please get intouch with me if you're like to know more and arrange a viewing. I'm not in a hurry to sell the car. Yes, it's more expensive than most that come up for sale but you'll be hard pressed to see a nicer, more original unrestored, unmolested car and one that's actually for sale.
Edited to add... Since this advert has gone live I have received a holding deposit on the car
