Description
Mk2 Polo Breadvan
63622 Miles
1. 4 16V AFH engine conversion on bike carbs and a 5 speed gearbox, I have no proof but I was told that the engine was on roughly 50'000 miles and was swapped when the car was roughly on 50'000 too. Has a stainless steel 4-2-1 exhaust manifold and 2" stainless steel custom exhaust with a single resonator and and is fairly loud. It also has an OMEX clubman rev limiter with launch control fitted.
Lowered on TA Technix coilovers on OZ Ceres wheels (rare) with all good tyres, it also has had the front brakes swapped for VW2 calipers and vented disks from a G40
It has been off the road for a year and a half and therefore has no tax or insurance but it is now tested until 24th January 2020.
While off the road it had a full respray except the roof in the original Tornado Red, and these polo's are common for rust in the drivers rear sill which has been cut out and repaired. the whole underside was also checked over and given a fresh coat of underseal to protect it from any future rust.
It has the original red checkered seats however the door cards have been replaced with a set from a car with adjustable mirrors which this doesn't have and so have holes in for the adjusters. the choke for the carbs is also on a bike brake lever attached to the gear stick, it also has an aftermarket rev counter wired up and a KODE steering wheel
The engine runs fine however the temperature gauge doesn't read correctly and the fan switch only kicks in when it is flashing and reading max, however diagnosing this issue I changed the radiator for a larger one from a G40 and changed the coolant temperature sensor, fan switch and thermostat numerous times so I can assure you that it isn't overheating, also due to the larger radiator it rarely gets hot enough to need the fan to kick in unless its sat in traffic for an extended period of time.
