We are delighted to present an incredible opportunity to buy a fully restored, frame off, original Irish Toyota Landcruiser Bj40.
Presented in her original oe colours of freeborn red over grey, this 1984 Bj40 is the last year of the 3. 0 litre b14 engine model. This is by far one of the nicest to come to market of recent years and priced sensibly for the level of work carried out.
As you can see from the photos, the body work is absolutely stunning. All shut lines and panel gaps are excellent. The cab was removed from the chassis and the major restoration took place over a period of two years. The chassis was sandblasted along with the cab. No fibreglass was used during the restoration, only metal panels. It was decided to stay true to the original colours and the body turned out extremely well. All bumpers and wheels were also sandblasted and repaint in original colours. All body mounting points and rubber bushes were also replaced at this time.
As for the interior it’s much of the same story. The carpets, door cards, gear nob, head cloth were replaced. It was decided to keep the original interior to add some patina as she was barely worn, along with the original steering wheel. The cabin is a joy to behold and the seating position is commanding when you drive her along.
Mechanically she is absolutely spot on. Starting up readily from hot or cold. The engine was removed and painted during the restoration. All ancillary pipes, water pump and consumables were replaced at this time along with a Heavy Duty battery with a view to make the car useable, along with being a show stopper.
Complete with original tool kit, early documents, brown book, and restoration invoices, this is an amazing opportunity to acquire one of the best BJ40s for sale on the market today.
