This stunning Camaro was sold new in 1967 in the Australian market, hence the very rare right hand drive configuration. As with all Australia market vehicles it was produced as a standard model Camaro.
Imported to the UK in 2000 by a well-known enthusiast looking for an excellent base vehicle for a specific project – to create a right hand drive version of the iconic SS Camaro! Over the next few years a comprehensive upgrade program was undertaken with a huge number of authentic SS parts imported to create this amazing and authentic example – of course, including the V8 engine! At this time the odometer was re-set to zero so the mileage shown has been covered since restoration.
Subsequent to this, and paying tribute to the authenticity and quality of the works performed, the car was selected to appear in the American made 2013 blockbuster movie “Fast & Furious 6” set in London - thankfully being seen a few times but only statically and not drifting around the streets (See the last two photos for screen shots). Following this, the car was exhibited in a car museum in London.
Most recently, the car has been submitted to a recognised authority on American cars for a comprehensive check, service and set up so now runs beautifully.
This could be a one off opportunity to own a Right Hand Drive "SS" - not only that, one with a little bit of pedigree!!
