Description
1974 original chrome bumper MGB Roadster in the original colour of Blaze. 1st registered Feb 1974 and only 6 owners since. The last few being active MG owners club members. There are 2 large binders of history file with many old mots, invoices for work carried out and an Mg valuation certificate 2 years ago valued at almost todays asking price. The heritage certificate shows this is an original UK car in Blaze with Black interior and Black hood. Which is how it is today. Restoration work has been carried out in several stages all of which is documented . 1991 major restoration, The in 2007 and 2009 was improved yet again with attention to sills and jacking points etc. Again all documented.
The exterior is all in excellent order. The panel gaps are very good and the car is super straight. The paintwork is immaculate and blemish free. The chrome work is again in 1st class order. There is a top quality stainless luggage rack fitted. The Black 3 window hood is in excellent condition .
There is also a full and half tonneau cover.
The interior is again in 1st class order and fault free. Recent addition of a Walnut veneer dash and centre console kit really sets the interior off. The Period Motolita steering wheel is a nice addition too. Extras also include inertia seat belts, locking fuel cap, MG mudflaps, and period door mirrors. The boot area is super clean and is fully carpeted. Along with the spare wheel there is an original jack and brace etc, all in an original hessian bag.
The original Rosstyle wheels have had a full refurbishment with new chrome trims. All are shod with radials which have done minimal mileage.
This MG Roadster drives just as it should. Nice and tight and very responsive. The overdrive works as it should in 3rd and 4th.
