Description
First registered on 29th March 1963 this is believed to be one of the very first Ford Consul Cortina 1500 Super Woody Estates produced. It was subject to a full restoration around 12 years ago and has covered less than 2000 miles since.
Completely solid and in excellent mechanical condition the car is in largely original specification with just a few minor modifications which could easily be reversed by its new owner if desired. The paintwork is very good if not concours and the car drives really well. Although MOT exempt under the new regulations the car has an advisory free MOT until 3rd October 2019. I ensure that all my cars have long or new MOTs both for peace of mind and to preserve the vehicles history. It is, of course , road tax payment exempt and HPI clear.
There is a history file which includes details of previous keepers, including a copy of the original card registration document, some old MOTs, invoices and correspondence relating to the car's history. It was featured as a "Case History" in Classic & Sports Car magazine's January 2019 edition.
This is a very rare car in lovely condition which needs to be seen and driven to be fully appreciated. It gathers favourable reactions whenever it is seen and is always likely to be the only one at any classic gathering.
Please call me, Robin Whittaker, on the details below for further details or to make an appointment to view the car at my dry and well lit premises in Burwash, East Sussex.
