This is a lovely original 1970 MGB roadster in Teal Blue with black leather interior, toggle switch dashboard, Moto-lita wood rimmed wheel, stainless steel luggage rack, tonneau cover, painted wire wheels and, of course, overdrive.
Its last owner was a knowlegeable classic car enthusiast with a small collection of cars and had owned the MGB since June 1998, often using it for European tours. The history file shows that the car was restored in 2002 and has been well maintained since that time. There are numerous parts and service invoices in the file together with many old MOTs going back to 1988. The engine is an original factory Gold Seal unit which remains in excellent condition with very good oil pressure hot and cold. The gearbox works as it should with good synchromesh and overdrive on third and fourth. The car is rust free, completely solid, and the paintwork is excellent. The hood and interior are also very good. The engine bay is tidy and has been waxoyled at some point in the distant past. Alyhough now tax and MOT exempt there is an advisory free MOT until 29th February 2020 and the car is HPI clear. I ensure that all my cars have a new or long MOT both for peace of mind and to preserve their history.
In almost entirely original specification, this is a lovely genuine unmolested car which has been lovingly maintained over the years by its previous owner. It isn't a "just had a nut and bolt restoration" car, rather one which was restored some years ago, has been used and enjoyed, and wears its character extremely well. It drives beautifully. Such cars are not easy to find these days, but are the ones which I particularly like to buy when I can. It is ready to be used and enjoyed immediately and, with care and maintenance, will give many years enjoyment to its new owner, as well as appreciating in value.
