Description

1934 Austin 10/ 4 Cabriolet

Almost certainly the most versatile version of the highly successful Austin 10/ 4 range was the Cabriolet which was to appear in 1933 - a year after the 10/ 4's launch.

This attractive model featured a three position hood and offered more comfort and protection from the elements than the traditional tourer when the hood was folded fully down.

The Cabriolet also boasted a lockable luggage boot, which was something of a rarity on small cars at that time.

Finished in Maroon over Black with light tan leather trim, the Cabriolet we offer here was first registered on 16th June 1934.

Extensively restored around 20 years ago from the bare chassis (supported by photographic evidence), the car has been lovingly cared for and carefully maintained by the previous owner for the past 20 years and is presents exceptionally well.

Running very well the car is supplied with considerable documentation which includes an original handbook, RF60 Buff Log Book dating back to 1951 and numerous bills.

Supported by the excellent Austin Ten Drivers' Club, with first rate spares backup, the Austin 10/ 4 is a practical, charming and enjoyable small pre-war family car.
