An unbelievable, 63k mile car with the all important 4 Speed Manual transmission that has been in the hands of just four meticulous owners from new. This is a no excuse C2 Sting Ray that is truly breathtaking in the flesh.
Confirmed by Uk specialist Claremont Corvette, this car is a matching number car. Built in Late 1964 and delivered to Pennsylvania new. This car was exported to the U. K over 45 years ago and used sparingly within a large collection.
The bodywork is rust free, as is the chassis. All shut lines, panel gaps and paint finish is remarkably uniform. The car has been restored in the early 90s by marque specialist Claremont Corvetter and has held up extremely well. The glass quality and chromes are excellent and the car is such a joy to behold. The early headlamps and rear end are remarkably modern and make the car an absolute joy to behold.
The interior is much of the same story. The original leather is in excellent condition, as is the original wooden steering wheel. All controls and buttons work perfectly and the interior chromes are are in excellent condition. The wooden steering wheel is a lovely touch and only adds to the occasion of driving this glorious American muscle engined car.
Mechanically the car is as good as you would imagine. The Engine starts from hot and cold The carburetors are tuned beautifully and have been fully rebuilt. The car starts from hot and cold and has the added benefit of a 123 ignition system. Under acceleration the car performs really well and pulls very strongly. The big v8 engine is very gutsy. Combined with low weight and 365 bhp this car drives amazingly well. The sound is just fabulous with the twin exhaust set up.
In conclusion, this is a superb car. A low mileage car that has been maintained regardless of cost. By far, the best value we have seen. This car represents fantastic value for a fully sorted car that needs nothing but a new owner.
