We are delighted to present this super rare original Irish Rover P5B Coupe for sale. This is an extremely beautiful car and perhaps the best in the country with just over 50k miles and a large restoration file. The overall condition of this car belies it’s age. We have been on the search for one of these for an awful long time but only in as good as condition as this car.
The period Zircon blue bodywork on this car is in stunning condition. As you know, the reason these cars are so rare is because the body’s used to rot away. This car was restored in 2012 over a period of two years using all original panels. The paint work still holds great depth and shine. There is Zero evidence of rust and the underneath of the car is also in excellent condition. The car presents amazingly and receives a huge amount of positive comments on the road.
The interior on this car is beautiful. The seats present amazingly well with no rips, tears or sagging material. The headlining is like new and has been replaced recently. The carpets have been replaced with quality replacements containing a deep pile. All controls including windows, heating and period radio work as they should.
On the road it’s much of the same story. The V8 rumbles into life effortlessly and settles to a tappet free idle. The gearbox shifts precisely and with ease. You have zero differential or gearbox noise. The suspension is rattle free and the car just drives faultlessly.
Being the 3. 5 V8 Buick derived engine, the performance is effortless and this P5B keeps up and passes by modern traffic. The torque from the v8 makes overtaking effortless.
This car is a rare survivor which has been maintained to the highest of standards. This is without a doubt one of the very very best available both here and abroad. My own personal classic is a P5B and I know a good one. She must be one of the best left.
