Chassis number 7500534 was first registered in December 1957, before being shipped to its first owner in Japan (via Rotterdam). Later on the car went to California where it stayed until 1999 before it was shipped back to Germany.
HK-Engineering, who are the only company in the world to exclusively restore the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL carried out a 100, 000 Euro restoration in 2014, a detailed invoice for all the works carried out is supplied in the vehicle history file.
