This 1984 petrol, manual, 2 litre pinto engined, transit custom van has perfect history file and purchase documents. I am only the second owner, the v5 reads: Previous owner 1.

it has just had a brand new m. o. t. On 18-2-20. so is ready to drive away.

the superb and thoroughly detailed provenence includes the original 'transit custom' choices sheet, the original bill of sale. The original 'stormont' sales representative business cards.

this van comes complete with all the original stormont sales brochures, and even still has the paper stormont sticker on the 'A' post. The load bay is all undamaged, clean and in original paint. This van has obviously never done any heavy work. All in all this is the perfect transit 100 classic transit panel van which will only go up in value. Extremely low and genuine miles. 1984 registered. Genuine English production van. The cloth Front seats are all in perfect condition. All the swage lines are lazer straight. Chassis is all completely solid andthe van passed recent M. O. T. on February 2020. The front lower spoiler looks great & was a custom van option choice.
This is a totally complete, totally useable classic van. Easily capable of keeping up with today's traffic speeds, and a pleasure to drive. The engine was removed and totally recommissioned 3 years ago, when I bought it. I have only covered about 800 miles in it myself since then. When the engine was stripped down and checked over, the main bearings and bores were found to be in great condition. Engine inspection and new belts etc was all done by a pinto engine specialist. New front tyres fitted a year ago. New wipers fitted at M. O. T. Also i've fitted a half height wooden bulkhead and carpeted the load bay floor.
this van was painted in a spray booth when the engine was removed and so the engine bay and general paintwork looks great.
As I've said, a current brand new M. O. T. From 18th. February 2020 and valid until february 2021, This means the van is ready to drive away and use. The van is currently on statutory off road notice, (sorn) as I simply have too many classics now and simply can't drive them all, hence this very reluctant sale.
this is a 36 year old van, and there is no warranty 'implied or given' .

An extremely reluctant sale at a give away recently reduced asking price. I am based near exit 13 and 14 of the M5 motorway in GL13 Gloucestershire area. I can only give a short test ride as the van is on S. O. R. N. PLEASE SEE the Walk around video on you tube on 'Oh kenneth' channel. You could tax and insure this van and simply drive it away. M. O. T. Advisory on wheel bearing, and windscreen chip. Front door keys missing. Replacement lock sets given. I have reduced the initial asking price by many thousands of pounds which completely takes into consideration any reservations anyone might have or any repairs buyers may deem necessary. I would fit a new windscreen if i was keeping it as it has a very slight leak.
As for my terms of sale: I assume that any prospective buyer will want to see van before transferring funds, but please absolutely honour viewing times agreed. Please do not call me before 10 a, m, or after 5 p, m, I can only talk about this van to people who speak in clear English on a clear landline number.

please note; There are plenty of rusted out - many owner - imported, unregistered, rusty Old transit vans - in very spurious locations - with vendor unregistered v5's, on ebay and elsewhere. If you prefer to buy in that sort of thing as a project please do so. But please don't compare this van to those type of projects. I have to say that anything other than a straightforward, polite, hassle free sale won't be acceptable. I'm too old for all that tyre kicking now.
