Due to my mechanic having a severe knee problem and unable to do all the jobs necessary i am passing a few of the cars on from my barn. This Orion ghia is the 1. 6 injection, it has had just the 1 lady owner from new , it has 37728 miles on the clock and the last mot which ran out in June 2007 had 37634 so it seems it has been laid up for about 11 years. Since getting it we have fitted a new battery and new fuel pump and she fired up. Obviously things like cleaning the tank etc will be the next step. There is a sticker on the cambelt cover saying it was done about 600 miles ago and we looked at it before starting and it appeared fine. It therefor is on the button albeit with an exhaust blow. The brakes worked but in no way is this one for you to drive home it wants restoring/ recommissioning. It still has the supplying dealer plates on it. There is some lacquer peel on it. I am not open to offers so if you do not have 1000gbp then please do not contact me. On a quick look underneath it looks crusty , a good wire brush and schutz will no doubt do wonders but expect welding -its a 30 year old Ford. On lifting the boot carpet the boot floor looks very good. The colour is Magenta. I have the v5 and some handbooks and the latest mot as previously mentioned. A worthwhile project for the dark winter months and very well priced for a quick sale.
