1965 Impala Super Sport 2 door hard top in Evening orchid ( pale purple metallic ) which was for '65 SS only. The original factory option colour, with stunning parchment and black interior.
Its been subject to engineer owner frame off bare body shell strip and quality rebuild with many many new parts plus new metal body panels where needed, new chrome, in the USA. Original dash with new dash pad. Retrimmed front seats, exc headliner, original exc cond door panels, new carpets etc, Chrome buckle seat belts front and back. Drives superb with all replaced 4 coil spring suspension with its factory optional power steering and power brakes, perfect for UK roads. Sept 2020 MOT.
It has the original chrome edged center console and T change auto shifter, working clock, courtesy lights front and back. Lockable glovebox and center console and all locks with original and spare keys. Under dash Rev counter and accurate water temp gauge.
A brand new 350 short motor fitted now done about 5000 miles, some 2000 by me. Fast road cam. Rebuilt best Chevy double hump 291 Fuelie Heads plus larger valves and roller rockers for performance were added with new 4 barrel 650cfm carb, new HEi dizzy with electronic ignition and just fitted Summit racing HT leads and NGK plugs, plus new Flowmaster exhaust manifolds and cherry bomb silencers for full gas flow with chrome tail pipes. Around 375hp. It has the 700R4 4 speed Overdrive auto box( all rebuilt) plus a shifter kit for quick no power loss changes, plus a trans oil cooler and elec fan. Plus the must have 12 bolt posi-traction pro rebuilt rear end.
Plus new air balance rear shocks for handling, front and rear sway bars for handling, all new bushes and joints, new brake parts fitted throughout. Brand new galvanised fuel tank and lines. Underbody and frame primed and sprayed smooth gloss black enamel on a rotisserie. Full professional oven body shop repaint. Finished with period chrome SS Cragar wheels.
Original working radio with dash and rear seat new speakers plus hidden blue tooth amp and additional hidden speakers below rear parcel shelf for phone digital music. Has 6 rear side lights, 4 for the brakes lights, central lights are also white back up lights.
Bought from the 3rd owner in the US that bought it in 1999 and carried out the restoration work 2015 to 2017( have photos and huge file of all parts fitted for the buyer). I have fully serviced and further detail finished it since importing it myself. Shows 42k miles assume 142k miles as I have no proof but interior looks like an only 42k car.
Fab to drive fast and loud or cruise and show..... only driven in dry weather, only dry dust cleaned and waxed, garaged.
