Alvis special with Rolls Royce 6. 5 litre b81 civilian high compression engine with big valve cylinder head. Coupled to a Thornycroft 4 speed manual gearbox. This engine produces approx 230 BHP and with a bit of tuning will reach over 300 BHP.
Built early 1980s and underwent major changes then , not much of the old Alvis left now.
Rolls Royce engine fitted approx 15 years ago.
Registered as 1953 Alvis TC 21 two seater sports.
V5c in my name.
Running and driving with brakes. Lots of work carried out. New clutch- alternator -brake lines- rewired etc. Working indicators and lights. Tyres as new.
When bought it had a stuck valve and the cylinder head was removed to rectify this and bores were found to be in excellent condition. Seats are tatty and would be better replaced with low bucket ones. A few minor bits and bobs to do ( no real cost involved ) and adjustments to make eg brakes , clutch , tracking and checking over. I will do what i can time permitting.
Its 4. 1 metres ( 160 inch ) in length and 1. 6 metre ( 63 inch ) in width.
Part exchange considered but must be up and running.
