This rather nice Series 3 short wheel base Land Rover was first registered in Cumbria as BEC 596W.
Chassis number LBAAH1AA114364 makes it a RHD 2. 25 petrol 88" built at Solihull.
Not long to go until it is Tax and MOT exempt in 2021!
It has been dry stored for 4 years.
The MOT expired on July 6th 2016.
Seems to have lived around the Hereford/ Monmouth area for most of its life before coming down south to Wiltshire.
I really like the look of the bodywork and would leave as is!
It needs the brakes looking at as the pedal goes to the floor!
Original matching numbers engine starts on the key and sounds nice.
All gears select incl High and Low gearbox.
The chassis is solid, welding was carried out in 2014 to the gearbox cross member and is still good.
The bulkhead is very original and good up top and the footwells have been patched over the years as you would expect and have a few small holes that need attention now but nothing too drastic.
To sum up you could have this MOTd and on the road with little difficulty with a weekends worth of work and be ready for logging/ dogs/ kids etc!
It is getting very difficult to find nice unmolested examples of Series 3 Land Rovers and prices are only going one way.
