Rolls-Royce Twenty (20HP) SALOON Series K 1927. Finished in stunning Old English White and Burgundy with brown Connolly leather interior with stunning hand crafted interior wood work, in-line 6-cylinder 4-speed manual, wire spoked wheels with FOUR WHEEL drum brakes. Believed to have been owned by just 6 owners since new. It was re-bodied by Southern Motors in 1932 as the original owner preferred the vertical grills of the later Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Recently this car was flown over to Kuala Lumpur to celebrate the 50th year of independence, The King's birthday and the Grand Prix. Its picture was then used as the cover car on the magazine used to promote Indonesia.
Our example is mention in the Rolls-Royce Bible (included) and it has benefited from a full restoration around 15 years ago including a new custom Connelly hide leather interior. Oversize sunroof and many delightful period details. Thousands and thousands spent on the vehicle over the years, with recent invoices from Crank Start Engineering, Wangaratta Victoria, Australia showing the owner paying well over $10, 000 to have the car in the best possible condition and turn-key ready. Start effortlessly every time and settles into a smooth idle in a surprisingly short time and drives incredibly well.
Original purchase invoice showing date of sale, sold to, sale price and all original vehicle details and so much more. Originally sold new by Joseph Cockshott & Co Ltd of Manchester in the UK to its first owner F. Blount Esq from Belfast UK with original date of sale on 11th May 1927 and documented delivery date ‘end of June 1927’.
