I’m delighted to offer this 1932 Riley Mentone. Car with impeccable provenance as Ex Olympia Motor show car, KV2945 was also the factories demonstrator as well a marketing car featuring in the marketing material for the Mentone range!
Chassis number 44T111, retains all her original mechanicals and bodywork, the interior being replaced under the ownership of Riley restorer Paul Connor (Southport) Paul having owned KV2945 for 30 years sold her to fellow Southport Mafia Riley enthusiast Brian Cassidy in 1997.
Whitest in Brian’s capable hands KV2945 has been extremely successful. Proving to be a capable rally car, along with winning numerous concourse awards at local Preston & District Vintage car club events, along with the international meeting of the Riley register in Coventry held annually.
KV2945, has just undergone an oil change along with the fitting of new fuel lines and glass inline fuel filter to help with today's mix fuel. Other attributes include recently painted wings where any corrosion has been removed and repaired. The remaining painted work is very good condition, as in the upper fabric portion along with the opening roof. Which I can confirm is watertight.
The rear axle ratio has been changed to a 4. 9:1 so a 70 MPH top cruising speed is achievable. She sits happily at 60 mph without feeling hurried and the speedo is accurate.
