This is a 1974 FJ40, and has a 1977 4. 2L version of Toyota's inline-six with the desired upgraded cylinder head and valves. The engine makes 135 hp and 209 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is a four-speed manual, and the later model means it's a conventional floor-shift. This is a very nice example of the iconic FJ40. This vehicle has been restored by a retired aircraft mechanic. It is a registered 1974 FJ with a donor rust-free southern 1977 tub and rebuilt engine. The paint is average with a few blemishes, so no garage queen but will make a great driver as it was meant to be. These are very servicable, go anywhere vehicles that are enjoyable to own.
If you're looking for an historic off-road vehicle, it's hard to do much better than an FJ40. It's hard to find an FJ40 that looks nicer than this one
