Description
This Land Rover Series 2a was last on the road in 2007.
Laid up since it will require recommissioning to put it back on the road.
Chassis number 27111904G came out of the factory in 1969 and is one of first to have the headlights in the wings due to new regulations and of course the maltese grille.
Registered on 1st November 1969 as XYA 424H in Somerset.
Up to date V5 Logbook present and correct.
Tax and MOT exempt
It was originally a Diesel but many moons ago it was changed for a period correct 2. 25 petrol which is shown correctly on the logbook.
Seems to be complete and not been messed around with.
The engine starts on the key and runs well.
Can be moved to load onto a trailer under its own steam.
Clutch and brake hydraulics failed due to standing.
Chassis doesn't look too bad but budget for some welding.
The bulkhead will need door pillars and some footwell work.
New door tops will be required!
It was originally a full soft top and would be easy to change to this if you want.
This will make a very satisfying restoration project and then be great for kids/ logging/ dogs etc.
